Directions

From Stuben follow the path up through the Rauztobel passing the Albona I lift. This path runs at Alpe Rauz in an asphalt path that leads uphill to the Rasthaus Valfagehr (kiosk). Cross the road there and then follow the Valfagehrbach creek - just above the cable car intersection (Flexenbahn, Albona II, Valfagehrbahn) keep abolutely right at the junction with the ski slopes and do not follow the road. The hiking trail (E4 alpine / Nordalpenweg) now leads along the embankment to the right above the supply road and later joins it. It continues constantly uphill over the Valfagehralpe to the intermediate destination Ulmer hut, where a stop is worthwhile.

Back to Stuben, follow the Adlerweg hiking path for a short while and then turn right below the Arlenmäderbahn chair lift to the junction with the Jakobsweg (way of St. James). Follow this to the Rasthaus Valfagehr and continue through the Rauztobel ravine to Stuben.
